Continuous-variable Gaussian analog of cluster states

چکیده
We present a continuous-variable CV Gaussian analog of cluster states, a new class of CV multipartite entangled states that can be generated from squeezing and quantum nondemolition coupling HI= XAXB. The entanglement properties of these states are studied in terms of classical communication and local operations. The graph states as general forms of the cluster states are presented. A chain for a one-dimensional example of cluster states can be readily experimentally produced only with squeezed light and beam splitters.

Universal quantum computation with continuous-variable cluster states.
We describe a generalization of the cluster-state model of quantum computation to continuous-variable systems, along with a proposal for an optical implementation using squeezed-light sources, linear optics, and homodyne detection. For universal quantum computation, a nonlinear element is required. This can be satisfied by adding to the toolbox any single-mode non-Gaussian measurement, while th...
متن کاملExamples of Gaussian cluster computation
We give simple examples that illustrate the principles of one-way quantum computation using Gaussian continuous-variable cluster states. In these examples, we only consider single-mode evolutions, realizable via linear clusters. In particular, we focus on Gaussian single-mode transformations performed through the cluster state. Our examples highlight the differences between cluster-based scheme...
متن کاملGate sequence for continuous variable one-way quantum computation
Measurement-based one-way quantum computation using cluster states as resources provides an efficient model to perform computation and information processing of quantum codes. Arbitrary Gaussian quantum computation can be implemented sufficiently by long single-mode and two-mode gate sequences. However, continuous variable gate sequences have not been realized so far due to an absence of cluste...
متن کاملContinuous variable tangle, monogamy inequality, and entanglement sharing in Gaussian states of continuous variable systems
For continuous-variable systems, we introduce a measure of entanglement, the continuous variable tangle (contangle), with the purpose of quantifying the distributed (shared) entanglement in multimode, multipartite Gaussian states. This is achieved by a proper convex roof extension of the squared logarithmic negativity. We prove that the contangle satisfies the Coffman-Kundu-Wootters monogamy in...
متن کاملEfficient measurement-based quantum computing with continuous-variable systems
We present strictly efficient schemes for scalable measurement-based quantum computing using continuousvariable systems: These schemes are based on suitable non-Gaussian resource states, ones that can be prepared using interactions of light with matter systems or even purely optically. Merely Gaussian measurements such as optical homodyning as well as photon counting measurements are required, ...
